the art
the seven art’otels provide a top-level insight into post-1945 art in permanent museum standard exhibitions with each hotel focussing on the work of one artist. with sculptures and installations by the fluxus pioneer wolf vostell and the prints and etchings of georg baselitz in berlin, as well as works by a. r. penck in dresden, the spotlight is on post-war german art reflecting a divided germany and the tension between east and west up to reunification. current approaches are also represented with the third hotel in berlin devoted to pop-art icon andy warhol, the young korean artist seo in cologne and an exhibition of the american artist donald sultan in budapest. plans to engage artists for our future projects, art’otel amsterdam (opening in 2012) and art'otel london hoxton, (opening in 2013), are already underway.

art'otel, very deliberately, offers humble dining options - there are no huge restaurants with extensive menus and elaborate bars with endless lists of cocktails, yet what we do we do well. our restaurants and bars are modern, bright and colourful with fresh and enticing snacks and drinks to provide any city novice with enough energy to explore the many museums, galleries, theatres and restaurants close by.
