The Regine Sixt Children’s Aid Foundation – “Drying Little Tears” worldwide
powered by art'otel
Founded by Regine Sixt in the year 2000, „Drying Little Tears“ started as a private initiative and was turned into a foundation in 2011. It has been the Sixt Group‘s official Corporate Social Responsibility program ever since.
The Foundation is committed to support those children who are the most vulnerable in our society. Although they are the least responsible for the world as it is, they suffer the most. Wherever Sixt is active, they help children in need. Constructing kindergartens. Expanding schools. Renovating orphanages. Funding hospitals. Supporting children‘s hospices. Supplying nurseries and schools with facilities, training and help. We’re dedicated to all of them.
Drying Little Tears is supported by the many employees of the Sixt Group. They get involved by sharing new ideas and pitch in wherever needed, thereby taking responsibility for their fellow human beings.
The foundation bases itself on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child in the sectors education, health, welfare and emergency aid.
Each child is entitled to develop his or her own skills and to go to school.
Each child is entitled to a Family, to parental care and a safe home.
Each child is entitled to medical assistance and health care in case of illness.
It is frequent occurrence that catastrophes befall people and nations. In this case children suffer the most. Each child is entitled to protection - specifically in times of war and following natural disasters.
Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin - kids festival
More than 250 families with their children visited the kids festival of the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin on Saturday 26th June 2015. Park Plaza hotels and art’otels, in cooperation with Regine Sixt - Drying little Tears, were proud to be part of this special event, offering the little patients of Charité and their parents a joyful afternoon. Kids could play with Sandmann (RBB Germany) and Elmo (Sesam Street) or take a ride on a fire truck.
